Laura Graham followed a career as an actress for many years in London. Primarily working at the National Theatre, Royal Court and in television. The novelty of playing other people as an actress gradually wore off and she decided it was time to find out who she was, the real Laura Graham. If you ask her now, she will tell you that she is still trying to find out. One thing for definite is that she always wanted to write and she has now had the opportunity to do exactly that.
A major influence on her life was when she decided to move to Italy. Living alone and with not much money to splash out, she looked after her two beloved cats and together they took up residence in a back alley apartment in a Tuscan village. Little did she know the passion, adventure and intrigue that awaited her. This was the basis of her first book – Down a Tuscan Alley , an enlightening account of her scary move to Italy to live both as an expat and as a single woman making a new start in life.
Her second book was a children’s book called – A Tale of Two Tuscan Cats , which has recently been translated into Italian. It is a book that all cat lovers, children or adults alike will thouroughly enjoy.
The book tells a story of ‘Two abandoned Cats with nowhere to go. Then along comes an English Human and finds them -first, Rosetta, a feral kitten hiding in the forest. Then Julie, domesticated but abandoned – wandering the alleyways desperate for a home . . .’ A lovely story of two Italian cats, rescued into a loving home where they become a firm addition to the family.
A Tale of Two Tuscan Cats and its sequel Tuscan Cats get into Mischief are now available in Kindle format through Moulin Publications. You can also get a paperback version of Tuscan Cats go to Elba, the recently released 3rd in the series, on Amazon.
